Acclaimed academician, educationist and one of the founding members of Telangana agitation movement of 1969 Khaja Mohammed Arifuddin, popularly known as K M Arifuddin, was one of the most powerful educationists in the recent history of city, who helped illuminate thousands of families with the light of education, benefitting minority students including from the society's weaker sections.

Madina Public School, also known as MPS, has been in the educational field for decades. It was formed in 1982 by Moulana Abdul Hassan Nadvi to provide quality and holistic education to students from all strata of the society. The school was inaugurated on 15th Aug 1982 by Nawab Mir Akbar Ali Khan, Ex-Governor of UP. The school saw its inception in the new building inaugurated by Ex President of India Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
MPS is a dynamic and progressive educational institution that aims to provide the best possible education and that is why our School has been adjudged the best in AP Twice and had the rare privilege of receiving the awards from the then Chief Minister Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu on the Independence Day in 1999 and 2001.
The next feather to the cap of Madina was the Best H.M. in AP Award conferred in Sept 5th 2007 to commemorate the Teachers’ Day Celebrations and honors were done by Mr.R.V.Chandravadav , IAS Collector & District Magistrate,Hyd.

The passage of time has seen tireless efforts to carve a niche for the Madina Group of Institutions on the map of excellence and quality education. This recognition has been most gracefully achieved with the visit of Bharat Ratna (Late) Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam to MPS as the Chief Guest for its Silver Jubilee Celebrations on 22nd Feb 2008.
